Gearbelt Mobile is the native iOS and Android app for Gearbelt. Unlike Gearbelt on the web, the Gearbelt Mobile app does not include an in-app Sign Up option — you cannot create a new account from within the app. To use Gearbelt Mobile, you must first be invited to a workspace by a Gearbelt admin. Once invited, you can open the app and log in using your preferred authentication method.
Gearbelt Mobile vs. Gearbelt Mobile Web
There are two ways to use Gearbelt on a mobile device:
Gearbelt Mobile (native app) — Downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Sign-up is not available in-app. Access requires an invite from a workspace admin.
Gearbelt Mobile Web (browser) — Gearbelt accessed through a mobile browser (e.g. Safari or Chrome). This version supports sign-up depending on your workspace settings.
If you're unsure which version you're using, check whether you downloaded an app from the App Store or Google Play. If you did, you're using the native app.
Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:
An invite email sent to you by a Gearbelt workspace admin
The Gearbelt Mobile app installed on your iOS or Android device
First-time login (after receiving an invite)
Open the invite email sent to you by your workspace admin.
Tap the invite link in the email.
When prompted, open the Gearbelt Mobile app (make sure it is already installed on your device).
Complete your first login using one of the available authentication methods below.
Log in to Gearbelt Mobile
Tap Login on the Gearbelt Mobile screen. You'll be redirected to the Sitemate login portal, where you can sign in using any of the following methods:
1. Email and password
Enter your email address.
Enter your password.
Tap Log in.
2. Login with a link (passwordless)
Tap Login with a link.
Enter your email address.
Open the email sent to your inbox.
Tap Login in the email. You'll be signed in automatically.
3. Continue with Google
Tap Continue with Google.
Follow the prompts to authenticate with your Google account.
4. SSO (Enterprise)
Enter your company email address.
If SSO is configured for your organisation, you'll be redirected to your company's authentication system automatically.
Complete authentication through your organisation's login portal.
Notes
If you haven't received an invite email, contact your workspace admin. New users cannot self-register via the Gearbelt Mobile app.
Login links expire after 15 minutes. If yours has expired, return to the login screen and request a new one.
If you log in with Google, you can also set a password by using the Forgot password option on the login screen.
SSO users are redirected after entering their email and must authenticate through their company's system — they cannot use login link or Google login.
