Introduction
The Sitemate Open API allows built-world companies to connect their own applications to Sitemate's product suite (Dashpivot and Gearbelt) through a world-class API. The Sitemate Open API is designed for customer use from the ground up and will bring best practices in API performance to customers, including:
An online developer portal hosting a range of features, such as:
Documentation which is consistently updated to reflect new endpoints
Developer friendly real-world code examples and how-to guides, and
Clear updates about the status of the API and upcoming changes
Simple data structures and a simple API
An advanced feature set (such as versioning, pagination, easy to understand error messaging, and more)
Gearbelt API — Closed Beta
Gearbelt API access is currently in closed beta and must be enabled on a per-account basis. Please contact Sitemate before committing to a Gearbelt API integration to confirm that access has been enabled for your account.
⚠️ Migration Notice — Existing Dashpivot API Users
If you are an existing Dashpivot API user, you must regenerate your API token to gain Gearbelt API access. Go to Flowsite > Settings > Developer and regenerate your token. Your existing Dashpivot API token will not automatically grant Gearbelt access.
📓 Note: One API token covers all Sitemate APIs — both Dashpivot and Gearbelt.
Availability
Dashpivot API: Generally available on all Flowsite plans (Free and up).
Gearbelt API: Currently in closed beta — must be enabled per account. Contact Sitemate to confirm access before getting started.
