Sitemate Start Account Layer Integration with Flowsite

Learn how to integrate your Sitemate Start Account Layer with Flowsite to send account-layer data into external tools or sync external data into your Account Lists across all workspaces.

Written by Nina Yang

The Sitemate Start Account Layer integrates with Flowsite in both directions — use Sitemate Start as a source to send account-layer template data into your reporting and finance tools, or as a destination to sync external data into your Account Lists across all workspaces at once.

Before this integration, a Flowsite flow could only point at a single workspace. If a template was pulled into 10 workspaces, you needed 10 separate flows to maintain. Now, one flow covers the whole account.

Video Walkthrough

Prerequisites

  • Plan: Premium or Platinum (unlimited plan models require discussion with your Account Manager)

  • Permission: Dashpivot Account Admin — required to create the Sitemate Start connection in Flowsite

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Flowsite, Sitemate Start, and the external system you are connecting (e.g. Power BI, SharePoint, Xero)

Requirements

  • The Account Layer must be enabled for your billing account. Contact your Sitemate representative if you are unsure.

  • A Sitemate Start connection must exist in your Flowsite workspace — see How to Connect Systems in Flowsite.

  • Only one Sitemate Start connection is allowed per account. If the Account Admin who created the connection is later demoted, flows using it will error until a new connection is created by an Account Admin.

Sitemate Start as a Source

Use Sitemate Start as a source to export account-layer template data into external reporting or finance tools. This is available for hosted source flows and event-triggered flows.

Supported integrations

Flow type

Supported integrations

Hosted source

Power BI, Excel, Power Platform

Event-triggered

Xero (invoices, bills, timesheets), QuickBooks (invoices), SharePoint (PDF copy)

How it works:

  1. In Flowsite, go to the Flows tab and click Add Flow.

  2. Select the relevant flow card — you will see the Sitemate Start logo alongside Dashpivot and Gearbelt.

  3. In the flow editor, open the System Source dropdown and select Sitemate Start.

  4. The account name appears read-only. The Module Source is locked to Templates.

  5. Paste in the Account Template ID.

  6. Complete the rest of the flow configuration and click Save.

Flowsite will export forms from all workspace copies of that account-layer template in a single flow — no separate flow per workspace required.

📓 Note: The Sitemate Start option only appears in the System Source dropdown if a Sitemate Start connection exists in your Flowsite workspace.

Sitemate Start as a Destination

Use Sitemate Start as a destination to sync external data into your Account Lists. Changes cascade automatically to all workspace copies of that list.

Supported integrations: SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Dataverse

How it works:

  1. In Flowsite, go to the Flows tab and click Add Flow.

  2. Select the SharePoint Lists or Dataverse flow card.

  3. In the flow editor, open the System Destination dropdown and select Sitemate Start.

  4. Paste in the Sitemate Start List ID (copy it from the Account List in Sitemate Start).

  5. Set up your column mapping.

  6. Click Save.

Rows synced from SharePoint or Dataverse will cascade automatically to all workspace copies of that Account List.

📓 Note: The System Destination picker is disabled (shows Dashpivot only) if no Sitemate Start connection exists in your Flowsite workspace. Switching the System Destination clears the list ID and column mapping — your SharePoint source settings remain intact.

Notes

  • Only one Sitemate Start connection is allowed per Flowsite account.

  • The Sitemate Start connection button is disabled if the Account Layer is not enabled for your billing account, or if you do not have Account Admin permissions.

  • For hosted source flows, the Module Source is locked to Templates when Sitemate Start is selected — Actions is not available.

  • The sync from Dataverse or SharePoint into Sitemate Start Account Lists is one-way. Rows removed in the source are archived in the Account List, not permanently deleted.

FAQs

Who can create the Sitemate Start connection in Flowsite?
Only a user with Dashpivot Account Admin permissions. If that user is later demoted, the connection will break and flows will error until an Account Admin creates a new one.

Can I have more than one Sitemate Start connection?
No — only one Sitemate Start connection is allowed per account.

What happens if the Account Layer is not enabled on my account?
The Connect button for Sitemate Start in Flowsite will be disabled. Contact your Sitemate representative to confirm eligibility and enable the Account Layer.

Does this replace my existing workspace-level flows?
No — existing workspace-level flows continue to work as-is. The Account Layer integration is an addition, not a replacement.

Where do I find my Account Template ID or Account List ID?
Copy the template or list ID from the Account Layer in Sitemate Start — the same way you copy a workspace template ID from the Dashpivot URL.
