How to Revert a Form to a Previous Version in Dashpivot

Learn how to revert a Dashpivot form to a previous version using the version history in Show Activity.

Dashpivot Web keeps a version history for each form as it's edited and saved. In some cases you may want to go back to a previous version of that form.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All plan types

  • Permission: Org Controller, Project Controller, Team Controller, or Form Creator

  • Device: Dashpivot Web

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the form and click Show Activity.

  2. Select the version number you want to revert to.

  3. Click Preview this version (eyeball icon) under the Before or After column to open a full preview of that form version.

  4. A blue Previewing banner appears at the top of the preview screen, showing the version badge (e.g. v2) and the date and time that version was saved. Review the form in this state before deciding whether to revert.
    📓 Note: This is a view-only step — no changes are made to the form until you confirm the revert in the steps below.

  5. Click Revert form to this version.

  6. Click Revert Form to confirm.

  7. A confirmation banner will appear. You can dismiss this by clicking the "Close" icon on the notification, or wait for it to disappear automatically.

Notes

  • Sitemate Scan ID fields are not supported for form reverts.

  • Form reverts are only available to Org Controllers, Project Controllers, Team Controllers, and Form Creators. If you are unable to revert a form, reach out to a Controller in your workspace or the form creator.

  • When a form is reverted, the activity log will show an entry labelled Edited v# (Reverted to v#), where the first number is the version that was active before the revert and the second is the version it was reverted to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can revert a form to a previous version?
​Form reverts are available to Org Controllers, Project Controllers, Team Controllers, and Form Creators. If you don't see the option, you may not have the required permission — reach out to a Controller in your workspace or the form creator.

Can I revert any field type?
​Most field types support form reverts. Sitemate Scan ID fields are not supported and will not be reverted.

Can I revert a form on Dashpivot Mobile?
​No. Form reverts are only available on Dashpivot Web.
