Documents & formatting for Dashpivot Workspaces

System settings allow workspace administrators to control how modules behave across the entire workspace. These settings apply universally, ensuring consistency for all users.

Who Can Manage Documents & formatting?

Only users with Org controller permissions can update system settings. Changes will immediately apply to all workspace users.

By managing system settings at the workspace level, teams can:

  • Ensure consistency across projects and documents

  • Save time by avoiding repetitive configuration

  • Reduce errors caused by misaligned formats or rules

Timezone display in forms

This setting controls how dates and times should appear in your form downloads and on the web.

Local to Exporter

  • When downloading a form, dates and times will be shown in the timezone set in your Dashpivot user profile.

    • Example:

Form creator is in timezone A (UTC+5)

    • User who is downloading the form is in timezone B (UTC+10) in their Dashpivot profile,

    • Form download will display all dates and times in the export default to timezone B (UTC+10).

Local to Data Entry

  • When downloading a form, dates and times will display the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of the person who enters that particular data.

    • Example:

When the form user is in timezone A (UTC+5)

    • The user who is downloading the form is in timezone B (UTC+10) in their Dashpivot profile

    • Form download will display all dates and times with the respective UTC.

  • Note: UTC times will only be displayed for the following areas:

    • Created At time

    • Updated At time

    • Signatures

    • Sitemate Scan ID

    • Photos

    • Location field

  • Date - Timezone Aware fields will still convert based on your Dashpivot Profile timezone. If you intend to use Local to Data Entry then it is best to select our Date options instead for these templates

  • The UTC times are available for all new forms created on web and on the Dashpivot mobile app from v25.9 and SMM v25.9

    • Any older forms or forms created on older app versions will not have the UTC times and will default to the same behaviour as ‘Local to Exporter’
