Asset Tags are labels you can apply to assets in Gearbelt to help label, filter, and group records across your workspace. Tags appear as chips in the Assets and Inspections registers, making it easy to identify and filter records by tag at a glance.

When to use it
Use Asset Tags when you want to group or filter assets by type, status, location, or any custom label, and when you need to filter the Assets or Inspections register by a specific tag.
Notes
Asset Tags behaves identically in the Assets and Inspections registers, including chip display and filtering behaviour.
Issues, Schedule Checks, and Work Orders will adopt the same Asset Tags column in a future release.
