Storm is Dashpivot's AI template editor that lets you create and edit templates using natural language instructions or by uploading existing documents.
This article covers every error message you may see when using Storm in the Template Editor, what's causing it, and how to fix it.
"Storm could not complete this edit. Please try again." / "Storm could not continue this edit. Please try again."
Why this happens
Storm encountered an error processing your instruction, which can happen due to a temporary service issue or an instruction it couldn't interpret.
How to fix it
Try the instruction again. If it fails repeatedly, try rephrasing your request in simpler terms. If the issue persists, contact Sitemate support.
"Unable to create template. Please try again."
Why this happens
The AI template generation failed, usually due to a temporary error or an unsupported input.
How to fix it
Try generating the template again. If it continues to fail, create the template manually or contact support.
"Unable to process files. Please try again." / "Some files could not be processed. Successfully submitted files will appear when ready."
Why this happens
One or more uploaded files could not be read by Storm. This can happen if the file is in an unsupported format, is corrupted, or exceeds the 100MB size limit.
Storm supports the following file types: PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, Email (.eml), PNG, JPEG/JPG. Any other format will be rejected.
How to fix it
Check that your file is one of the supported formats listed above, is under 100MB, and is not corrupted. Re-upload and try again. Successfully processed files will appear even if others fail.
"You can only upload 10 files at a time."
Why this happens
Storm's bulk import accepts a maximum of 10 files per session.
How to fix it
Reduce the upload to 10 files or fewer. Upload additional files in a separate session.
"File size exceeds 100MB."
Why this happens
The file you're trying to upload is larger than Storm's 100MB file size limit.
How to fix it
Compress the file, split it into smaller files, or extract only the relevant content before uploading.
"Too many voice sessions this hour. Please try again later."
Why this happens
The voice dictation feature has a session limit per hour to prevent overuse. When the limit is reached, the error message will tell you exactly how many minutes to wait before trying again.
How to fix it
Wait the number of minutes shown in the error message before starting a new voice session. In the meantime, type your instructions directly into Storm.
"Microphone access denied"
Why this happens
Your browser does not have permission to access the microphone, which is required for voice dictation. This can also occur if the site is not loaded over HTTPS, as most browsers require a secure connection before granting microphone access.
How to fix it
Go to your browser's site permissions and allow microphone access for the Dashpivot domain, then try again. If the option to allow access is greyed out, check that you're accessing Dashpivot over https:// and not http://.
If the issue continues
If Storm keeps failing after retrying, try refreshing the page and starting a new session. For file-related errors, check the file format and size before re-uploading. If the issue persists, contact Sitemate support with a description of your instruction and any files you were uploading.
