Voice transcription in Storm lets you speak your prompts directly in the Build with Storm panel inside the Dashpivot template editor. Instead of typing, you describe the changes you want to make, and Storm converts your speech into clean, polished text in real time.
This feature is available to paid customers in Open Beta.
Voice transcription in the Build with Storm panel is distinct from two other voice features you may be familiar with:
AI Form Fill voice recording — asynchronous batch processing that transcribes voice after recording stops. Storm voice transcription is inline and real-time.
Device-level voice-to-text — the microphone on your mobile keyboard. That is a device feature, not a Storm feature.
Prerequisites
Plan: Paid accounts only (Open Beta)
Permission: Template editor access (Org/Project/Team Controller)
Feature: Storm – AI Templates enabled on your workspace
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to your Home folder (or your Team folder if the template lives there).
Select your template and click Edit Template.
Click Build with Storm in the top navigation bar of the template editor. The Build with Storm panel opens on the left side.
Click the microphone icon in the Build with Storm panel to activate voice input.
Speak your prompt clearly — for example, "Add a plant table under the materials table with columns for item, severity, and action." Storm transcribes your speech into text in real time.
Review the changes Storm suggests.
Accept or adjust the suggestions as needed.
Click Save to apply the changes and record the new version.
Notes
Voice transcription is available in Open Beta to paid customers only.
Supported languages at launch: English and Spanish. Other languages are not currently supported.
Storm voice transcription is real-time and inline — your speech is converted to text as you speak, immediately processed as a prompt. This is different from AI Form Fill voice recording, which batches and processes audio after you stop recording.
The microphone in the Build with Storm panel is a Storm feature. It is separate from any voice-to-text option on your device keyboard.
