This guide explains how operators can quickly complete pre-start forms using the Gearbelt Operator Web App by scanning an asset QR code. The process allows field workers to access and submit pre-start forms directly from their mobile devices without downloading an app. If you are not yet logged in when you scan the QR code, you will be prompted to log in or create a free account — after which you are automatically taken to the pre-start form you intended to access.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Scan the QR Code: Use your phone's camera to scan the asset pre-start QR code.
Log in or create an account (if prompted): If you are not already logged in, enter your mobile number and complete login or account creation. After authenticating, you will be automatically redirected to the pre-start form you originally scanned — no manual navigation needed.
Complete the Pre-Start Form: Fill out all required fields in the pre-start form.
Submit: Tap Submit in the top-right corner to record your pre-start.

Operators can complete pre-start forms directly from their mobile browser using a QR code — no app download or prior training required.
If you scan the QR code while logged out, your pre-start intent is preserved. After login or account creation, you are taken directly to the correct pre-start form without needing to navigate manually.
