Location logs in Gearbelt keep a record of an asset's location history over time. Logs can be added manually from the asset profile on Gearbelt Mobile Web, or created automatically when a submitted record form — such as an inspection, issue, or schedule check — includes a location field.

How Locations from Record Forms Are Captured
When a record form that includes a location field is submitted, the location is automatically saved to the asset's Location Logs. This applies to inspection, issue, and schedule check record forms.
Each entry in the Location Logs register displays the Source — entries added manually are labelled Manual, while entries created from a record form show the name of the form.
