Why licences are per individual
Dashpivot is a reporting, compliance, and information management tool. It works best when you can see and trace exactly who has done what — shared logins make it impossible to attribute form submissions, signatures, and actions to a specific person. This undermines accountability and the audit trail that many teams rely on for compliance.
There are also practical security reasons — if you need to remove someone's access (for example, a contractor who has left a project), a shared login means coordinating a password change across everyone using it, which creates unnecessary disruption.
Limitations or alternatives
If you have external parties — such as subcontractors, clients, or consultants — who need access but don't have a company email matching your internal domain, the recommended alternatives are Dashpivot Visitor access or the free Sitemate app.
