How to Add a Default Table in Forms on Gearbelt

The Default Table field in Gearbelt allows you to structure information in rows and columns within a form. This is useful when capturing repeated data such as inspection items, measurements, or checklist entries. You can customise column types and labels to suit your data requirements. This guide explains how to add and configure a Default Table in a form using the Form Builder.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: FreeTrial, Standard, Pro

  • Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Gearbelt

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the relevant form or create a new form in the Form Builder.

  2. Drag and drop the Default Table field into the body of the form.

  3. Configure the Default Table by updating the label and adding columns as required.

  4. For each column, select the dropdown to configure the field type. Available options include:

    • Single line text

    • Number

    • Date

    • Single time

    • Dropdown (Static or List)

  5. Click Save once you have finished configuring the table.
