Inspection forms are a key part of keeping your equipment running smoothly and safely. They help you stay on top of maintenance needs, ensure safety and compliance standards are met, and provide a digital record for audits. They also make it easier to plan ahead by identifying issues before they become larger problems. This guide explains how to create an inspection form template using the Form Builder in Gearbelt.
Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:
Plan: FreeTrial, Standard, Pro
Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation
Device Type: computer
Subscription: Gearbelt
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to the Inspections section under Management in the left-hand navigation menu. Select Inspection Forms at the top.
Select Add Inspection Form to create your form template from scratch.
In the pane that opens on the right side of the screen, enter the form name, add relevant tags and a description as required, and enable notifications for the associated location for the relevant assets.
Use the left-hand menu to drag and drop the relevant fields into your template. You may want to capture the asset, location, current mileage or hours, photos, and required machine checks. You can customise your fields and their labels to explain what input is expected.
Click Preview in the top right corner of the page to review your template, then click the green Save button next to it.
After saving, a confirmation message will appear.
Retrieve your template in the Inspection Forms section and assign it to specific assets.
