How to Archive and Unarchive Locations on Gearbelt

Learn how to archive and restore locations to keep your Gearbelt workspace organised

Written by Adriana De Souza

Locations in Gearbelt help teams track where assets are stored, used, or serviced. Over time, some locations may no longer be active or needed for daily operations. Archiving locations allows you to remove them from your active list while keeping historical records intact. If a location becomes active again, you can easily restore it from the archived section.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Gearbelt Contributor

  • Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Gearbelt

Step-by-Step Instructions

  5. The location will move to the Archived section and will no longer appear in the list of active locations.
