How to Archive and Restore Asset Documents on Gearbelt

Learn how to archive and restore documents linked to assets in Gearbelt using the Assets section.

You can archive documents attached to your assets in Gearbelt to remove them from the active view without deleting them. Archived documents can be restored at any time from the Archived view in the Assets section.

Archive a Document for an Asset

  1. Go to your Gearbelt workspace.

  2. Open the Assets section.

  3. Select the relevant asset.

  4. Click Documents.

  5. Make sure you are in the Active view.

  6. Select the document you want to archive.

  7. Click Archive Selected.

Restore an Archived Document for an Asset

  1. Go to your Gearbelt workspace.

  2. Open the Assets section.

  3. Select the relevant asset.

  4. Click Documents.

  5. Switch to the Archived view.

    • If needed, click the Archived button.

  6. Select the document you want to restore.

  7. Click Restore Selected.

Notes:

  • Archived documents are removed from the Active view but are not deleted.

  • Restored documents return to the Active view and remain linked to the asset.
