Video Walkthrough

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Active Dashpivot Web plan

  • Permission: Access rights to edit the template

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer (web browser)

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web subscription

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the template editor for the template where you want to make fields required.

  2. Hover over the field you want to mark as required so that the Field Settings appear.

  3. Check the box to mark the field as required.

  4. Save the template changes.

Important behaviour differences by template type

  • Timeline templates: All required fields must be completed for a form to be saved.

  • Workflow templates:

    • Forms can be saved without required fields completed, but approval signatures cannot be signed until required fields above the next signature are filled in.

    • For the final column only, all required fields must be completed before the form can be saved and the workflow completed.
