How to use the Person field in the template editor on Dashpivot Web

The Person field in Dashpivot Web allows form users to select a person from the team folder when completing a form. This is useful for assigning responsibility or identifying who an entry relates to. The Person field is added in the Template Editor and is currently available on the web browser. This article explains how to add and configure the Person field in a template.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard, Pro, Premium, or Platinum

  • Permission: Org Controller

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer (web browser)

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Dashpivot Web and navigate to the folder where the template you want to edit is located.

  2. Open the Template Editor.

  3. Scroll down the list of fields on the left-hand side.

  4. Locate the Person field towards the bottom of the field list.

  5. Drag and drop the Person field into the template.

  6. Click on the field to edit the label if required.

Notes

  • On forms created from this template, the Person field will show a dropdown list of Dashpivot users who have access to the team folder.

  • In Workflow templates, the Person field can also be used to set up specific notifications for that selected user when the form reaches a workflow column.

  • The Person field supports selecting internal contributors and visitors but excludes pending invites.
