To save time when using the Dashpivot Mobile App on a phone or tablet, the microphone can be used to record voice and convert speech to text. Tap the microphone and speak into the device, then tap the microphone again once finished.
Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:
Plan: Standard (or higher)
Permission: Access to the form you want to fill out
Skills Required: Dashpivot
Device Type: Mobile device with voice-to-text/speech recognition capabilities
Subscription: Dashpivot Mobile App
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the Dashpivot Mobile App and open the form you want to complete.
Navigate to a text input field (such as a text area or short text).
On your device keyboard, locate and tap the microphone icon — this activates voice-to-text.
Speak clearly into your device’s microphone; your speech will be converted into text in the form field.
When finished speaking, tap the microphone icon again (or stop speaking) to end voice input.
Review the text for accuracy and make any needed edits manually using the keyboard.
Note: This is a device feature, not a Dashpivot feature, so it may not be present in all devices and operating systems. However, most phones built in the last 5 years likely have this feature enabled on the keyboard by default.
