How to Clone a Form on Dashpivot Web

Learn how to clone a form to quickly duplicate a filled-out form for reuse or repeated reporting

Written by Sam

Cloning a form on Dashpivot Web lets you create a duplicate of an existing form without re-entering all the information manually. This is especially useful when you need to reuse most of the details from a previously completed form (for example, recurring inspections or reports). The cloned form will carry over all the form data except for signatures and any fields that are excluded from cloning. It’s based on the most recent version of the underlying template.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard, Pro, Premium, or Platinum

  • Permission: Team Member (or higher)

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click to open the form you want to clone

  2. Click the 'clone' button at the top left of the screen

Note:

  • Cloning a form will create a duplicate with all the same information except signatures and fields that are excluded from cloning

  • Cloning a form will always create a new form based on the latest version of the template. If the original form was created on an older template version (with fields that have since been updated or removed), those fields will not be included in the newly cloned form
