Cloning a form in the Dashpivot Mobile App lets you create a new form based on an existing one without manually re-entering all the data. This is useful when similar forms with most of the same information need to be created repeatedly, such as recurring inspections or repeated reports. The cloned form duplicates most information while excluding signatures and certain fields that are not intended to be copied.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard (or higher)

  • Permission: Access to the desired form in the Dashpivot Mobile App

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Mobile device

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Mobile App access

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Dashpivot Mobile App.

  2. Navigate to the team folder where the form you want to clone is stored.

  3. Open the form that you want to clone.

  4. Tap the three blue dots in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  5. Select the Clone option.

  6. The app will open your new cloned form, and you can begin editing it as required.

Notes

  • Cloning a form duplicates all the same information except signatures and fields excluded from cloning.

  • The new cloned form is always based on the latest version of the template; fields removed or changed in newer versions will not appear if the original form was created with an older template version.
