How to Filter and Search Photos on Dashpivot Web

Learn how to filter and search photos on Dashpivot Web to quickly find specific image records

Written by Sam

Filtering and search tools in Dashpivot Web help users quickly locate specific photos by narrowing results using date ranges, uploaders, comments, and photo tags. This is particularly useful when working with large volumes of photos across projects or team folders, making it easier to find relevant images without manually scrolling through the entire photo library.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard

  • Permission: Access to view photos and use photo filters

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Photos section for your project or team folder in Dashpivot Web.

  2. Click the filter option to narrow photos by date.

  3. Filter and search through photos using one or more of the following options:

    • Click the Date filter to filter photos within a specific date range or on a specific date.

    • Click the User filter to show photos uploaded by specific users.

    • Click File type and choose between All file types, Photos only, or Videos only.

    • Use the search field to filter photos based on comments.

    • Select Photo Tags to filter by assigned photo tags. Choose from Project Photo Tags or Team Photo Tags to apply the filter.

  4. After selecting the required filter criteria, click Apply Filter to update the photo list.

  5. To clear all filters and return to the full photo list, click Remove Filter in the top panel.

Search and filtering Photos without Tags

  1. Open the Photos section for your project or team folder in Dashpivot Web.

  2. Under Photo Tags, click Photos without tags

Notes

  • You can apply multiple filters at once.

  • Filters persist during your session in both the photo gallery and when selecting photos within forms, but text search does not persist.

  • Filter persistence is per team in the photo gallery and per form when selecting photos within forms.

  • Closing your browser tab or clicking Reset All Filters will clear all persisted filters.

  • These filters are currently only available via the Dashpivot website.
