Marking up PDFs in Dashpivot allows you to annotate drawings and documents directly within the platform. This feature is useful for reviewing plans, highlighting issues, adding comments, and collaborating with your team in real time. Markups are saved against the form, ensuring all annotations are tracked and stored alongside the relevant record.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard, Pro, Premium, or Platinum

  • Permission: Team Member (or higher)

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Markup options include

  1. Draw

  2. Highlight

  3. Annotate with text

  4. Insert picture

How to access Markup Options

  1. Open the form that contains the PDF you want to markup.

  2. Click on the PDF attachment to open it.

  3. Select the markup tools from the toolbar (such as draw, text, arrow, or highlight).

  4. Add your annotations directly onto the PDF.

  5. Save or close the PDF to retain your markups.

Common use cases

  • Permits: Markup underground drawings of services and utilities.

  • Inspection Reports: highlight damages or areas that need extra attention.

  • ITPs, checklists, defects and NCRs: markup and annotate drawings to document important aspects
