How to Markup Photos on Dashpivot Mobile App

Photo markups in the Dashpivot app allow users to annotate photos with drawings, shapes, arrows, and text. This is useful for highlighting issues, adding visual context, or providing clear evidence within inspections, forms, and records captured on site. This feature applies to photos taken or uploaded within the Dashpivot mobile app.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard

  • Permission: Access to capture and edit photos

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Mobile device

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Dashpivot app on your mobile device.

  2. Tap the camera icon to take a photo.

  3. Capture the photo using your device camera.

  4. When the markup screen opens, draw directly on the image using your finger.

  5. Add arrows, circles, or text to indicate details on the photo.

  6. Use the undo button to step back through changes if required.

  7. Use the eraser button to remove all markups if needed.

  8. Tap Done when you are happy with the markup.

  9. Tap Next to continue.

  10. Add a description and any relevant tags.

  11. Tap Save to upload the photo.

Notes

  • You can only mark up photos that are taken using the Dashpivot app.

  • Photos uploaded from your device gallery cannot be marked up.
