The Dashpivot Mobile App has a built-in camera for taking photos directly within the app and uploading them to your Project or Team folder in real time.

📓 Note: The in-app camera has been upgraded for selected workspaces. If available in your workspace, you'll notice faster photo capture with background processing, adjustable zoom levels (tap to switch), tap-to-focus, and optical lens priority before digital zoom for clearer shots.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Team Member (or higher)

  • Skills Required: App Navigation

  • Device Type: Mobile device

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to where you are uploading the photo.

    • If uploading to a form, tap Add Photo and select Open Camera.

    • If uploading to the team folder, tap the Camera icon in the bottom right-hand side.

  2. Tap the bottom middle button to take a photo.

  3. Take additional photos if required.

  4. Tap Next when you have taken all the photos.

  5. Add descriptions or tags by selecting the relevant field (if applicable).

  6. Tap the photo directly to add markup (if applicable).

  7. Tap Save to upload.

    📓 Note: When you take a photo via the native camera during a form fill session, GPS location, original capture time, tag groups, and description are automatically captured as metadata on that photo. You do not need to enter this information manually. This feature requires the latest version of the Dashpivot Mobile App.
