Once you've invited Gearbelt contributors to your workspace, you can share a quick link to a specific register so they can jump straight in. The Share Link on the Issues register sends Gearbelt contributors directly to the issues on your assets, where they can raise new issues and resolve existing ones. This is a secondary path on top of the standard email invite, useful when you want to point a Gearbelt contributor at a specific area of work.

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
Plan: All Plan Types
Permission: Workspace Admin
Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation
Device Type: Computer / browser
Subscription: Gearbelt
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to the Issues register under Management in the left-hand navigation menu, then select Share Link in the top-right corner of the register.
Select a Gearbelt contributor from your workspace, or manually enter a mobile number.
Select Send.
The recipient will receive an SMS with a link that takes them to the Issues register in Gearbelt Mobile Web, where they can log new issues and resolve existing ones. The recipient must be a Gearbelt contributor in your workspace to log in and see the content. If they're not, invite them first.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the Share Link and the email invite?
The email invite gives a Gearbelt contributor full access to Gearbelt Mobile Web. The Share Link is a quick shortcut to the Issues register — useful when you want to direct someone straight to the issues on your assets.
Does the recipient need to already have a Gearbelt account?
Yes. The recipient must be a Gearbelt contributor in your workspace to log in and see the content. If they're not invited yet, invite them first — see How to invite Gearbelt contributors to Gearbelt Mobile Web.
Can I share the link with someone outside my workspace?
No. The link will only work for users who are already Gearbelt contributors in your workspace.
Can I share the link via email instead of SMS?
The Share Link sends via SMS. If you need to share via email, you can copy the link and send it manually.
