Your Lite Workspace is already set up — there’s nothing to configure before you begin. This guide walks through the best first steps to help you experience Dashpivot’s core features quickly.
Step 1 — Explore your starter workspace
When you log in, you'll land on the Quick Start home page. In the left navigation panel, you'll see your starter workspace with example content already included.
Take a few minutes to explore:
Open a form to see how it's structured
Check the activity feed to understand how completed work is tracked
Browse the photos tab to see how site photos are organised
Step 2 — Create your first template with AI Templates
AI Templates is one of the fastest ways to build forms in Dashpivot. Instead of starting from scratch, describe what you need and Dashpivot generates a template for you.
From the Quick Start home page, click Build a Template with AI
Enter a plain-language prompt — for example: "weekly equipment inspection checklist for a civil construction site"
Review the generated template and adjust any fields or sections as needed
Save the template to your workspace
💡 Tips
Include your industry or workflow in the prompt for more accurate results. For example, “site safety checklist for a tunnelling project” will produce a more tailored template than “safety checklist”.
Once you have saved a template, it will appear in the Recent Templates section on the Quick Start home page.
Step 3 — Try AI Form Fill
AI Form Fill helps reduce manual data entry by filling out forms using photos, uploaded documents, or voice notes.
Open any form in your folder
Click AI Form Fill
Upload a photo or document, or record a voice note
Review the pre-filled fields and make any edits if needed
Submit the form
💡 Tip: Try uploading a photo of an existing paper form or daily docket — AI Form Fill is designed to work with real-world site documents.
Step 4 — Invite a team member
Dashpivot is designed for teams, so inviting a colleague during your trial helps you see how work is shared, reviewed, and tracked.
Go to Settings → Team members
Enter their email address and select their role
Send the invite
Step 5 — Switch to the full workspace when you're ready
The Lite Workspace is designed to help you get started quickly. When you’re ready, switching to the full workspace unlocks features like:
Multiple folders and projects
Cross-team views
Reporting and analytics
The full Dashpivot module set
