How to Integrate Dashpivot Progress Claims with Excel using Flowsite

Learn how to integrate Dashpivot progress claims (using Site Docket templates) with Excel via Flowsite to automate billing, track claims, and manage project payments.

Written by Nina Yang

A progress claim is a billing method used in project-based industries to request payment for work completed to date. Instead of invoicing the full contract upfront, claims are submitted periodically based on milestones, percentage of completion, or a defined schedule.

By integrating Dashpivot Site Docket templates with Excel via Flowsite, you can:

  • Automate claim calculations – Generate accurate totals based on completed work

  • Centralise claim data – Store all claims in one structured Excel file

  • Improve billing accuracy – Reduce manual entry and calculation errors

  • Track claims across projects – Manage multiple projects in one place

  • Enable reporting – Filter and analyse claims by project, client, or period

  • Stay audit-ready – Maintain clear, traceable billing records

Progress claim structure

Progress claims are generated from Site Docket entries in Dashpivot. Each entry captures key billing details such as project, client, work completed, quantities, rates, and claim period.

Key features of this setup

1. Customised claim or invoice generation

  • Generate claim records based on selected project, client, or billing period

  • Structure data for easy invoicing and reporting in Excel

2. Automated totals

  • Calculate claim amounts automatically based on quantities and rates

  • Reduce manual calculations and errors

3. Multi-project support

  • Track and manage claims across multiple projects in one file

  • Filter and report by project, client, or claim period
