Learn how to integrate Dashpivot daily timesheets with Excel using Flowsite to automate time tracking, payroll processing, and reporting.

Written by Nina Yang

Timesheets are used to record the hours worked by individuals or teams on a daily or weekly basis. They provide an accurate account of time spent on tasks or projects, supporting payroll, project costing, and workforce management.

By integrating Dashpivot timesheets with Excel via Flowsite, you can:

  • Eliminate manual data entry – Automatically sync timesheet data to Excel, reducing errors and saving admin time

  • Speed up payroll processing – Format raw data to match your payroll system

  • Improve accuracy – Ensure consistency between timesheet entries and payroll records

  • Create custom reports – Build summaries (e.g. total hours, overtime, cost codes) in Excel

  • Stay audit-ready – Filter records by employee, date, project, or cost code

  • Scale easily – Handle growing data volumes without increasing workload

  • Maintain flexibility – Export or integrate with systems like Xero or QuickBooks

Daily Timesheet Structure

A daily timesheet records hours worked by an individual or crew, including start and finish times, breaks, and total hours. Data is typically captured using table fields in Dashpivot.

Key features of this setup

1. Central timesheet data

  • One master table to log hours by employee, project, cost code, and date

  • Includes start/finish times, total hours, and activity details

2. Custom filters
Easily filter timesheet records by:

  • Employee

  • Project

  • Date

  • Task or location

This enables quick summaries and review of daily work logs.

How to set up the integration

1. Connect Dashpivot to Flowsite

  1. Log in to Flowsite.

  2. Go to Connections.

  3. Find Dashpivot and click Connect.

  4. Enter your Dashpivot credentials and authenticate.
