Written by Nina Yang

Weekly timesheets are used to record total hours worked by employees across a full week. They provide a structured summary of time spent on projects, supporting payroll processing, cost tracking, and workforce management.

By integrating Dashpivot weekly timesheets with Excel via Flowsite, you can:

  • Automate payroll calculations – Sync weekly hours and apply pay rules automatically

  • Centralise timesheet data – Store all employee hours in one structured Excel file

  • Track hours by project – Allocate time across single or multiple projects

  • Improve accuracy – Reduce manual entry and ensure consistent records

  • Enable reporting – Filter and summarise data by week, employee, or project

  • Stay audit-ready – Maintain clear, traceable payroll and timesheet records

Weekly timesheet structure

A weekly timesheet captures total hours worked per employee for a given week. Data is typically entered in structured table fields, allowing breakdowns by hour types, cost codes, and projects.

Key features:

1. Weekly summary with breakdown

  • Summarises total hours per employee for the week

  • Includes regular hours, overtime, and double time (or custom hour types)

2. Integrated payroll system

  • Calculates pay based on hourly rates and hour types

  • Supports deductions, allowances, and total pay per employee

3. Filter by week

  • Adjust summaries based on the selected week for easy review and reporting

Multiple project weekly timesheet

Used to track hours across multiple projects in one timesheet. Hours are entered in a structured table field, allowing clear allocation to each project and cost code. The employee list changes based on the selected project and week.
