How to Connect Completed Power BI Integration Files from Flowsite

Learn how to connect integration files for successful data refresh in Power BI

Written by Nina Yang

Connecting a completed Power BI integration file ensures that data from Dashpivot, delivered via Flowsite, refreshes correctly within Power BI. This process links your file to the Flowsite data source using the correct credentials so your dashboard stays up to date and ready for reporting.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Power BI Contributor

  • Skills Required: Power BI Navigation

  • Device Type: Computer/Browser

  • Subscription: Dashpivot, Flowsite, Power BI

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the completed Power BI integration file.

  2. From the menu bar, click on the Home tab.

  3. Click the Refresh button.

  4. In the Access Web Content window, select Basic.

  5. In the Select which level to apply these settings to dropdown, choose the URL that contains “nod”.

  6. Enter the provided credentials.

  7. Click Connect.

  8. Ensure the credentials match the Flowsite flow URL.

  9. Wait for the status in the bottom left corner to change from Running background query to Ready.

  10. Confirm the file is ready for use.

Notes

  • The connection must use the correct Flowsite credentials to enable successful data refresh.

  • If the credentials do not match the Flowsite flow URL, the connection will fail.
