How to Set Up Compliance Expiry Notifications on Gearbelt

Gearbelt allows users to configure notifications for compliance documents that are approaching their expiry date. These notifications help ensure important documentation remains valid and up to date by alerting users before expiry. This feature is useful for teams responsible for asset compliance management who need visibility of upcoming document expirations.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Gearbelt Contributor

  • Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Gearbelt

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click the Notifications tab.

  3. Select the Compliance tab.

  4. Enter the email address that will receive compliance expiry notifications.

  5. Set the Compliance Notification Rules.

  6. Select the type of compliance or workspace category you want to receive notifications for. Select the type of compliance or workspace category you want to receive notifications for. Notification rules support both legacy document types and custom workspace categories — documents filed under a custom category will be matched by the rule.

  7. Set the number of days before the expiry date to trigger the notification.

  8. Click Save.

Note: If you have documents filed under custom workspace categories, make sure to set up a notification rule for each category you want to track. Legacy document types and custom categories are both supported.
