In Dashpivot Web, a register is a table view that displays form records as rows and the template’s fields as columns.

To create a register, you must first design a template with the fields you want to see as columns. Once the template exists and has been used to submit forms, Dashpivot automatically generates the register view based on those form submissions.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Permission: Access to create and edit templates

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Create a new template or open an existing one that you want to use as the basis for your register.

  2. Add the fields you want to capture and display as columns in your register view.

  3. Save the template.

  4. Deploy the template and use it to create forms.

  5. View the automatically generated register, where columns come directly from the template fields and each row represents an individual submitted form.

As an example, below is a register view for a Excavator Inspection Checklist.

If we then open the form, we can see the fields exactly match the columns from the register view. This is where the data is being drawn from.
