How to edit register columns on Dashpivot Web

Learn how to show, hide, and reorder columns in the register view, including Relationship Field linked template columns.

Written by Adriana De Souza

Register columns control which fields are visible in a template's register view and the order in which they appear. This feature is available on Dashpivot Web and is designed for team controllers and above who need to tailor the register layout for their team.

By selecting, hiding, or reordering columns, users can ensure the most relevant information is surfaced at a glance — changes apply to all users viewing that register, not just the individual making the edit.

Prerequisites

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Team Controller

  • Required Skill: Dashpivot Navigation

  • Device Type: Computer/Browser

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the relevant template's register view.

  2. Select Edit Columns in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Use the checkboxes to select or deselect fields to show or hide them in the register view.

  4. Drag and drop fields to rearrange their order in the register view.

Notes

  • Only users with Team Controller permissions or above can edit column settings. Changes apply to all users viewing the register, not only the account making the edit.

  • By default, each template includes the following Standard Columns:

    • Project

    • Team

    • Created By

    • Created Date

    • Last Updated

    • Form ID

    • Form Version

  • If a template contains a Relationship Field, the linked template's columns will appear as an additional group in Edit Columns. These columns can be enabled or disabled, reordered, and optionally displayed nested under the Yes/No logic field they belong to.

  • Relationship Field columns are included in CSV exports if they are visible in the register view, or if you select All Columns in the CSV download options.
