Lists Overview

Learn how Dashpivot Lists help you standardise information, speed up data entry, and unlock better reporting across your projects.

Written by Tammy Slattery

What are Lists in Dashpivot?

Lists let you create and manage standard sets of information (e.g. people, plant, assets, cost codes, subcontractors) in one central location and reuse them across templates.

Instead of manually entering the same information repeatedly, users select from structured list fields (dropdown or multi-select inputs). This:

  • Reduces manual errors

  • Speeds up form completion

  • Improves searchability and reporting accuracy

Think of Lists as shared reference data that powers your templates, registers, and analytics.

This short overview video explains what Lists are, where they’re located in Dashpivot, and why they’re powerful.

How Lists work with Templates & Analytics

When connected to templates, Lists improve the full data lifecycle — from field capture to reporting insights.

Using Lists allows you to:

  • Enter data faster with dropdown selections instead of free text

  • Maintain consistent data across projects

  • Filter records in the Register by List values

  • Break down analytics charts using List data
