How to Fill a Timesheet Using Storm AI Form Fill in Dashpivot

Learn how Storm AI Form Fill can look up start and finish times from your daily diaries and automatically draft your timesheet — no manual cross-referencing required.

Written by Nina Yang

Filling out a timesheet at the end of a shift or week usually means going back through daily diaries to piece together who worked, when they started, and when they finished. Storm can do that for you.

By referencing previously completed daily diaries in the same folder, Storm looks up the hours for each worker and drafts your timesheet automatically — ready for you to review and submit.

What Storm Can Do With Timesheets

  • Reference completed daily diaries in the same folder to populate worker hours automatically

  • Fill hours for multiple workers across multiple days in a single pass

  • Attach a spreadsheet or exported timesheet for Storm to cross-reference

  • Handle multilingual crews — Storm detects spoken language and outputs in the template's destination language

  • Run multiple sessions — add late entries or corrections without overwriting what's already there

Before You Start

  • Your daily diaries and timesheet must be in the same Dashpivot folder — Storm can only reference forms within the same folder.

  • Use exact times in your diaries where possible (e.g. "08:30" rather than "around 8") — Storm flags approximate times for review rather than assuming.

How to Do It

💻 On Dashpivot Web

  1. Open your timesheet form in Dashpivot.

  2. In the Storm AI Form Fill canvas at the bottom of the form, type your directive — for example:

    • "Look up start and finish times from this week's daily diaries and fill in the timesheet."

    • "Use the daily diaries from Monday to Friday to populate the hours for each worker."

  3. Optionally, attach a spreadsheet or exported timesheet document using the paperclip icon for Storm to cross-reference.

  4. Click Fill ↑.

  5. Review the draft, make any corrections, and save or submit manually.

📱 On Dashpivot Mobile

  1. Open your timesheet form in Dashpivot Mobile.

  2. Tap the Storm button at the bottom of the form to open the AI Form Fill canvas.

  3. Type or speak your directive — for example:

    • "Look up start and finish times from this week's daily diaries and fill in the timesheet."

    • "Use the daily diaries from Monday to Friday to populate the hours for each worker."

  4. Tap the green arrow to submit.

  5. Review the draft, make any corrections, and submit as normal.

✏️ Good to Know

  • Be specific about the time period. Saying "this week" or "Monday to Friday" helps Storm find the right records.

  • Storm cites which diary it pulled from. When Storm references a historical form, it tells you which record informed each fill decision — so you can verify the source.

  • If Storm can't find a matching form, it will tell you — it won't guess.

  • You can also attach a document. If you have a spreadsheet or exported timesheet to cross-reference, attach it to the canvas using the paperclip icon. Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV.

  • Multilingual workers? Storm detects the spoken language and outputs in the template's destination language — useful for mixed-language crews.

  • Storm drafts, you decide. Storm never submits forms on your behalf — you always review before saving or submitting.
