How to Set Up Action Approval Signature Logic on Dashpivot

Learn how to set up approval signature logic after actions in a form in Dashpivot

Written by Nina Yang

This guide explains how to configure workflow approval signature logic rules based on Action statuses within a form in Dashpivot. This feature creates a stronger control point for workflow progress by ensuring forms cannot be signed off until actions reach the required status. It is useful for teams that need structured processes, accountability, and consistent completion of tasks before approval.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Org Controller, Project Controller, Team Controller

  • Skills Required: Workflow configuration setup

  • Device Type: Computer/Browser

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to the Workflow Template Editor.

  2. Add an Action field.

  3. Drag and drop an Approval Signature field.

  4. Add Logic to the signature field.

  5. Select the All Actions option.

  6. Choose the condition: If All Actions is Equal to or At least specified action status (Draft, To Do, Completed).

  7. Save the template.

Notes

  • Requires an Action field before the Approval Signature field.

  • Only actions above (or between signatures) are checked.

  • Forms cannot be signed until conditions are met.

  • A warning appears for incomplete actions.

  • Signature becomes available once conditions are satisfied.

  • Approval signatures only; reset options are not yet available.
