Dashpivot MCP allows you to connect your Dashpivot account directly to ChatGPT so you can query and interact with your Dashpivot data using natural language. Since
Dashpivot MCP is not currently available in the ChatGPT App Store, it must be connected manually using ChatGPT’s Dev Mode. This guide is for users with MCP access who want to enable and use Dashpivot MCP within ChatGPT.

Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:
Plan: All Plan Types
Permission: Org Controller, Project Controller, Team Controller
Skills Required: Basic familiarity with ChatGPT settings
Device Type: Desktop or laptop computer
Subscription: ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise and Dashpivot
Step-by-Step Instructions
Enable Dev Mode in ChatGPT
Go to chatgpt.com.
Click your profile icon → Settings.
Select Apps.
Scroll to Advanced Settings.
Toggle Dev Mode on.
If you are on a ChatGPT Team or Enterprise plan, ask your workspace admin to enable Dev Mode under Workspace Settings → Apps & Connections → Advanced Settings → Dev Mode.
If you are on a personal ChatGPT Plus account and cannot see Dev Mode, open ChatGPT and click the Settings icon (gear icon in the bottom left).
Create a New MCP Connection
Go to Settings → Apps.
Click the Create app button in the top right corner.
Fill in the following details:
Name: Dashpivot (or any name you prefer)
MCP Server URL: https://api.dashpivot.com/mcp or https://api-uk1.dashpivot.com/mcp for UK users
Authentication: Leave as default (OAuth 2.0)
Click Create.
Authenticate with Dashpivot
Sign in with your Dashpivot credentials.
Review the permissions and click Approve / Authorise.
Confirm that you are redirected back to ChatGPT and that the connection shows as Connected.
Test the Integration
Open a new chat in ChatGPT.
Look for the tools icon below the message input to confirm the Dashpivot MCP tools are available.
Start asking ChatGPT questions about your Dashpivot data, for example:
“Show me my workspaces in Dashpivot”
“What forms were submitted this week?”
“List all overdue forms in [project name]”
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Dev Mode option
Your ChatGPT workspace admin may need to enable it first. Reach out to your admin and ask them to turn on Dev Mode under workspace settings.Connection fails or times out
Double-check the MCP Server URL is exactly:https://api.dashpivot.com/mcpAuthentication error
Make sure you're signing in with the same Dashpivot account that has MCP access enabled. If you're unsure, contact your Sitemate representative.Tools aren't showing in chat
Try refreshing ChatGPT or starting a new chat. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the MCP integration under Settings → Apps
