Issues inviting users in Dashpivot

This issue occurs when attempting to invite users to Dashpivot and the invite action does not complete as expected.

What’s happening

When trying to invite a user to Dashpivot, you may notice that:

  • The Invite button is greyed out or not clickable

  • Clicking the Invite button does nothing

  • The invite does not send after entering an email address

This prevents new users from being added to your Dashpivot account.

Why this happens

Common reasons this issue occurs include:

  • The email address has not been properly entered or confirmed

  • Multiple email addresses are not separated correctly

  • A temporary session or browser issue

  • The inviting user does not have sufficient permissions to invite users

How to fix it

Follow these steps from most common to least common:

  1. Confirm the email address is entered correctly

    • Type the email address into the invite field.

    • Press Enter on your keyboard to confirm the email address.

    • If inviting multiple users, ensure each email address is separated by a comma (,).

  2. Check for formatting or typing errors

    • Look for extra spaces, missing characters, or invalid email formats.

    • Re-enter the email address if needed.

  3. Log out and log back in

    • Log out of Dashpivot completely.

    • Log back in and attempt the invite again.

  4. Confirm you have permission to invite users

    • Ensure your user role allows you to invite new users.

    • If unsure, check with your Org Controller.
