The Actions field in Dashpivot Web allows you to create a task directly within a form, assign it to a team member, set a due date, and add extra details such as priority and photos. Once the action is issued, the assignee is notified, and you will be notified when it is completed — making follow-up tasks easy to track and ensure they are actioned on time.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Any Dashpivot Plan

  • Permission: Organisation, Project or Team Controller

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the template you want to edit in Dashpivot Web’s Template Editor.

  2. Drag and drop the Actions field where required in your template.

  3. By default, the field label will be set to Actions — rename it to provide more context on what type of actions are expected.

  4. Save the template.

  5. Open a form that contains the Actions field.

  6. Enter a short description of the action required.

  7. Select who you are assigning the action to.

  8. Set the action due date.

  9. Select the action priority.

  10. Add photos if required.

  11. Click Sign to approve to issue the action to the relevant assignee.

  12. View and track actions in the My Actions section in the top right of your workspace.

  13. The assignee can view the action in the To Do section.

  14. If the action was created in a form, click the thumbnail to link back to the form.

Notes

  • The Actions field is dynamic. When actions are recorded and assigned via forms, the assignee will be notified once the action is issued.

  • You will be notified when the action is completed.

  • Assignees will not be notified until you click Sign to approve to issue the action.

  • Users can save the action and return later to add more details before issuing it.
