The Actions Field lets you create and manage tasks directly inside your Dashpivot forms, making it easier to assign follow-up work and ensure accountability. When included in a template, users can assign tasks to team members with due dates and details that link back to the originating form. Only users with appropriate controller permissions can add this field to templates.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard or above

  • Permission: Organisation Controller, Project Controller, or Team Controller

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot template editing basics

  • Device Type: Computer (web browser)

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web access

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Template Editor for the template you want to modify.

  2. Locate the Actions field in the field list.

  3. Drag and drop the Actions field into your template at the desired location.

  4. Name the field to provide context for users (optional).

  5. (Optional) Hover over the field and open field settings to make it required or hidden in PDF exports if needed.
