Assigning work orders in Gearbelt ensures tasks are completed by the right team members and within the expected timeframe. By assigning responsibility to specific users, teams can keep work organised, improve accountability, and reduce the risk of tasks being overlooked. Work orders can be assigned or reassigned at any time from the work order details panel.
Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:

Permission: Gearbelt Contributor
Skills Required: Gearbelt Navigation
Device Type: computer/browser
Subscription: Gearbelt
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to the Work Orders section under Management in the left-side navigation menu.
Select the relevant work order you want to assign.
In the right-side panel showing the work order details, scroll down to the Assigned section.
In the Assigned section, remove existing assignees if required and add new ones by selecting users from the list that appears when you click the text box.
Select Save in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Notes
When creating a new Work Order, you can define who the work order form is assigned to directly in the Assigned field.
