Archiving an asset in your Gearbelt workspace helps keep your workspace organised by removing outdated or unused items without permanently deleting them. This ensures that only relevant and active assets remain accessible while still allowing you to retrieve archived items if needed.

Archiving one or multiple assets

To archive one or multiple assets at once, follow these steps:

  1. Go into your 'Assets' section

  2. Select the asset(s) you'd like to archive, using the checkboxes on the left-hand side

  3. Select 'Archive selected' and the item(s) selected will be moved to the 'Archived' list

Archiving an individual asset

  1. Open the asset you want to archive.

  2. You will be taken to the Asset Overview page.

  3. Click Archive (bottom-right corner).

The asset will now appear in the Archived section.

Bulk archive all assets

  1. Go to Assets section

  2. Click the checkbox in the top-left corner of the register, beside the Asset column.

  3. Click 'Archive Selected' and this will move all the assets to the Archived list.

Restore archived assets

  1. Go to the Archived section.

  2. Select the asset(s) you want to restore.

  3. Click Restore Selected and the asset(s) will return to your Active assets list.
