Table orientation for the Dashpivot mobile app is set up in Dashpivot Web at the template level. This setting controls how table rows and columns are shown when forms are viewed or completed in the mobile app, helping improve readability on smaller screens.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Active Dashpivot Web plan

  • Permission: Access rights to edit templates

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the template editor for the template that contains the table.

  2. Select the table field you want to update.

  3. Open the table settings for the field.

  4. Set the table orientation option for mobile display.

  5. Save the template to apply the change.

Display options for tables in the Dashpivot mobile app

When viewing table fields in the Dashpivot mobile app (on phone or tablet), there are two ways tables can be shown.

Display Horizontally (default)

This is the default setting, which displays the tables the same way they appear on the website.

This is the default setting. Tables are shown in the same layout as they appear in Dashpivot Web. This setting does not affect how tables are shown in Dashpivot Web or in PDF exports.

Display vertically

This option shows column headings on the left side of the screen, with the row contents shown on the right. This layout repeats for each row in the table.

Using vertical display means no information is hidden off screen. However, it can increase the overall length of the form. This option is useful when the information in the table needs to be clearly visible.

Additional information

  • Table orientation settings apply to how tables are shown in the Dashpivot mobile app only.

  • This setting does not affect how tables are shown in Dashpivot Web or in PDF exports.
