What fields are included in a Register View export in Dashpivot?

Learn which fields will and won’t appear when you export a register from Dashpivot.

Written by Adriana De Souza

When you export a register view from Dashpivot (as PDF or CSV), most fields from the form template are included in the export. However, a few field types do not appear depending on the export format.

Definition

The list of fields shown in a Register View export describes which form fields and metadata are included (or excluded) when you export a register as a PDF or CSV file from Dashpivot.

What it’s used for

This information helps you understand what data to expect in a register export so you can plan for reporting, data sharing, or integration with other tools.

When to use it

Use this information when preparing to export a register, especially if you need specific fields included in an external document or spreadsheet. Knowing which fields are excluded can also help you adjust templates or choose a different export format accordingly.

Fields not included in the Register View export

When exporting to PDF

  • Table field data (only the table name appears)

  • Prefilled text fields

  • Scan Sitemate ID entries

  • Physical signature (name, time, and date appear but not the signature image)

  • Sketch fields

When exporting to CSV

  • Physical signature (name, time, and date appear)

  • Sketch fields

Notes

  • Excluded fields are still visible within Dashpivot. Other export methods may include them.

  • For integrations, exported columns follow naming conventions: form fields map to $FieldName, and table fields map to $TableName - $ColumnName.

  • Weather fields are included in both CSV and PDF exports from Register View. Each weather field appears as its own column in the export.

Attachment hyperlinks in PDF exports

With the attachment linking setting enabled in the template:

  • Attachment files in table cells are clickable within the PDF

  • Bookmarks are created to navigate between forms and attachments

This feature applies to both individual form exports and register exports. New templates have it enabled by default, while existing templates can enable it in template settings.
