How to Bulk Copy and Paste Data Into a Default Table on Dashpivot

Bulk copy and paste in Dashpivot allows users to quickly transfer structured information from spreadsheets or documents directly into a default table within a form. This feature helps users quickly populate forms such as invoices, ITPs, inspections, and other workflows without manually entering information line by line.

Dashpivot supports copying and pasting into supported field types including Text, Number, Time, Date, and Manually Typed List fields. Users can also continue editing the pasted information directly within the form after populating the table.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Dashpivot Contributor

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot Navigation

  • Device Type: Computer/Browser

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

Copy all content from one default table into another default table

  1. Open the form containing the populated default table.

  2. Navigate to the default table you want to copy.

  3. Click the three dots in the top left corner of the table.

  4. Select Copy content.

  5. Open the form containing the destination default table.

  6. Click into the destination table.

  7. Paste the copied content into the table.

  8. Confirm that all values have populated correctly.

Copy and paste spreadsheet data into a default table

  1. Open the spreadsheet containing the data you want to populate into Dashpivot.

  2. Select and copy the required values from the spreadsheet.

  3. Open the relevant Dashpivot form containing the default table.

  4. Click into the starting cell within the table.

  5. Paste the copied values into the table.

  6. Wait while Dashpivot automatically populates the table cells and dropdown selections

Notes

  • Supported field types include Text, Number, Date, Time, dropdown selections, and Manually Typed List fields.

  • The destination table must match the original table structure when copying full table content.

  • Data populates starting from the selected cell within the table.

  • This feature does not support copying or pasting attachments or photo fields.

  • Users can continue editing populated values directly within the form after pasting.

  • This feature helps reduce manual data entry and speeds up form completion for larger datasets and repeated workflows.


Bulk Copy and Paste Data Into Manually Typed List Fields in a Default Table

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the spreadsheet containing the values you want to copy.

  2. Select and copy the required values from the spreadsheet.

  3. Open the relevant Dashpivot form containing a default table with manually typed list fields.

  4. Click into the starting cell within the default table.

  5. Paste the copied values into the table.

  6. Dashpivot will automatically populate the manually typed list selections.

  • This feature works with manually typed list fields configured within a default table.

  • Data will populate starting from the selected cell in the table.

  • Users can continue editing the populated selections directly within the form after pasting.

  • This feature helps speed up form completion and reduces repetitive manual data entry.
