Dashpivot Web allows you to quickly create Yes/No checklist questions by copying and pasting items directly from a spreadsheet or document. This method reduces manual entry and improves efficiency when building or editing checklist-style templates. This article explains how to bulk paste checklist items into Yes/No fields in the Template Editor.

Video Walkthrough

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard, Pro, Premium, or Platinum

  • Permission: Org Controller

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot, Excel navigation

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to Dashpivot Web and open the template in the Template Editor.

  2. Add a Yes/No field to your template.

(Optional) Configure logic on the Yes/No field, such as triggering a photo or comment when β€œNo” is selected.

  3. In your spreadsheet or document, prepare a list of checklist items (for example, numbered questions).

  4. Select and copy the list of checklist items.

  5. In the Template Editor, click on the field name of the Yes/No field.

  6. Paste the copied checklist items.

  7. Review the generated Yes/No questions to confirm they have been created correctly.

  8. Click Save to apply your changes.

Notes

  • Each pasted line creates a separate Yes/No checklist item.

  • Configure required settings in the original Yes/No field before pasting. If the field needs to be required, include a Comment box, or enable the N/A option, apply these settings first so they automatically transfer to all checklist items created during bulk paste.

  • If copying from Excel, remove cell formatting before pasting. Formatting such as borders, fonts, or wrapped text may cause the pasted content to display incorrectly.

  • Any logic configured on the original Yes/No field applies to all generated checklist items.
