Bulk copy and paste into a default table on Dashpivot Web lets you efficiently add large amounts of structured data from external sources like spreadsheets directly into a table. This can save time and reduce errors compared with manually entering information cell by cell. It works when filling out a form that contains a default table.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: All Plan Types

  • Permission: Home Folder – Org Member (or higher); Team Folder – Team Member (or higher)

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the form in Dashpivot Web that contains the default table you want to populate.

  2. From your spreadsheet or document, select the relevant cells you want to copy.

  3. Copy the selected data (e.g., Ctrl +C or right-click Copy).

  4. Click into a cell within the default table where you want to start pasting.

  5. Paste the data (e.g., Ctrl + V or right-click Paste) β€” the data will fill matching table fields.

  6. (Optional) To copy all content from one default table to another:

    • Click the three-dot menu in the top left of the populated table.

    • Select Copy content (confirmation appears).

    • Open the target default table (same number of columns and cell types).

    • Paste the copied content into that table.

Note: This feature is only available when completing a form using a default table β€” not when editing a template in the template editor.
