Analytics Filters in Dashpivot allow you to control which data is displayed in charts and dashboards. Filters help narrow results by fields such as project, asset, team, or other mapped data settings, making it easier to focus on specific information. This article explains how to set up Analytics Filters on Dashpivot Web.

Video Walkthrough

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard

  • Permission:

    • Home Folder: Super User or DP Organisation roles (Admin or Controller)

    • Team Folder: Super User, DP Organisation roles, DP Project roles, DP Team Controller, or DP Team Member

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot Analytics

  • Device Type: computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Analytics in Dashpivot and open an existing chart.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the chart settings panel.

  3. Select Add filter.

  4. Choose the field you want to filter by from the dropdown.

  5. Select the value or values the field should equal.

  6. Review the chart as it updates automatically based on the selected filter.

  7. Select Add filter again to apply a second filter if required.

  8. To remove a filter, select the X icon next to the filter.

Notes

  • Filters control which data is displayed in a chart but do not change the underlying data.

  • Available filter fields depend on the Analytics Data Settings configured for the template.

  • Multiple filters can be applied to the same chart.

  • Filters can be adjusted or removed at any time.

  • Filters apply to individual charts unless configured at a dashboard level.
