Renaming charts in Dashpivot Web allows you to clearly identify what data a chart represents when viewing analytics dashboards. Updating chart names helps improve clarity, especially when multiple charts are used across dashboards. Chart names are updated directly within the Analytics section on Dashpivot Web.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard

  • Permission: Org Controller or Project Controller

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to the Analytics section in Dashpivot Web.

  2. Open the dashboard that contains the chart you want to rename.

  3. Select the chart you want to update.

  4. Click directly onto the current chart name/pencil icon in the top left-hand side to update the name

  5. Enter the new chart name.

  6. Click outside the text field to apply the change.

Notes and Tips

  • Renaming a chart does not change the data shown in the chart.

  • Clear and descriptive chart names make dashboards easier to interpret.
