What is the Fields Editor?

The Fields Editor is the back-end view of your template. It allows you to add, remove, reorder, and update fields to suit your needs. All available fields are listed on the left-hand side.

The editor works on a drag-and-drop basis:

  • Select a field (for example, a Date Range field)

  • Drag and drop it into your template

  • Reorder fields by dragging them up or down

You can also:

  • Edit field labels

  • Delete fields

  • Clone (duplicate) fields

  • Adjust additional field settings

Make sure to click Save as you go. Once saved, your changes will update for everyone in the workspace. For more detailed guidance on specific field types and settings, see our related articles on individual field options.

How to access the Fields Editor

How you access the Fields Editor depends on where the template was created.

If the template was created in the Home folder (organization level):

  1. Go to the Home folder.

  2. Click Template Library at the top of the page.

  3. Select the template using the checkbox in the top-right corner.

  4. Click Edit Template to open the Fields Editor.

If the template was created in a Team folder:

  1. Navigate to the relevant Team folder.

  2. Click Templates.

  3. Select the template.

  4. Click Edit Template to open the Fields Editor.

You’ll need to navigate to the folder where the template was originally created in order to edit it.
